Texas A&M regenerative heart patch recognized as one of Fast Company’s ‘World Changing Ideas’ 

Texas A&M University has been named a 2026 Fast Company World Changing Ideas honoree, earning national recognition for its innovative regenerative heart patch. The award, presented in the Academic Excellence category, places Texas A&M among the top 100 projects globally that are tackling the world’s most urgent challenges with creative solutions.

Branch Campuses and Teaching Sites

Texas A&M Galveston campus

The island campus offers the nation’s most comprehensive coastal, marine and maritime degrees, with undergraduate and graduate programs. The campus is home to Texas A&M Maritime Academy, one of six state maritime academies in the U.S. and the only one on the Gulf Coast.

Texas A&M Mcallen campus

The education center provides top-tier programs to fulfill student career goals, enhance the region’s economic development and produce a skilled workforce. It serves the Rio Grande Valley and offers 10 undergraduate programs.

Texas A&M at Qatar building

The university provides undergraduate and graduate programs in engineering. It also offers instruction in science, mathematics, liberal arts and the humanities.
